For the installation Johanni + 662 W, Hinrich Gross uses fluorescent tubes with different color temperatures as his graphic material. In beholding the tableau, the difference be- tween the shades of white intensifies over time and is mirrored through the light reflections in/of the space.
The significant changes in the perception of color and space within time could be read as a contemporary interpretation of László Moholy-Nagy’s idea from 1925 to replace color by light.
